Returns and Exchanges
We gladly facilitate change-of-mind exchanges within 30 days of purchase. Since our bags are packed to the brim with all the essentials for labour and postpartum care, we extend a store credit equivalent to the original order value, minus 30% to accommodate perishable and personal care items. This adjustment is necessary to comply with Personal Hygiene and Safety regulations, which restrict the resale of certain products.
To qualify for a store credit exchange, all items must be returned in brand new, unopened condition, with seals intact. Please note that any shipping fees incurred with the original order are non-refundable.
Every Hospital Bag is meticulously prepared with care and affection. However, mishaps during transit can sometimes occur! If your order has sustained any damage, kindly reach out to us via email at info@maternitybag.com.au. Please provide a detailed description of the issue along with your order particulars and accompanying photos (so we can pinpoint exactly who's responsible 😉) within 48 hours of delivery. This will enable us to promptly organize a replacement for you.
In rare instances where photos may not fully convey the extent of the damage, we'll facilitate the return of the goods to our warehouse for a thorough assessment. Following our examination of the damage, we will promptly issue a refund or arrange for a replacement equivalent to the original purchase price of the damaged goods.
Hey there! Before you unleash that return, make sure you've dropped us a line via email and got the green light to ship your item back to our warehouse.
Once you've got the thumbs up, it's as easy as pie! Just wrap up your item(s) snug as a bug and send 'em on over to:
MATERNITYBAG,
PO Box 569
Oxenford Qld 4210, Australia
Now, here's the fun part: we suggest you go all out and opt for registered, tracked post for your return journey. Why? 'Cause we can't cover the cost of items playing hide and seek in transit! Sorry, babe, no free passes on that one!

Maternity & Packing FAQ
What should I pack in my hospital bag?
Pack items like comfy clothing (to slay that hospital runway), toiletries (because fresh is fabulous), important documents, snacks (for those between-meal cravings), electronic devices (to stay connected with your squad), and postpartum care items (because self-care never goes out of style).
Bring around 2-3 outfits for yourself (because fashion emergencies happen), including loose, comfy clothing, and 2-3 outfits for your baby (because they're already a fashion icon), including onesies, sleepers, and hats.
Essential items for labour include a birth plan (your roadmap to baby-town), comfy clothing (because labour is not the time for fashionista struggles), socks (to keep those tootsies cozy), lip balm (to pucker up for those newborn kisses), hair ties (because labour hair is a whole mood), and any comfort items like music or scents to keep the vibe just right.
Yes, it's a good idea to pack snacks like energy bars (for that power boost), crackers (for the crunch), and drinks like water (included in our packed bags) or sports drinks (to keep hydrated and energized like a boss) during labour and recovery. We recommend taking a water bottle in case you have a c-section, its tricky to sit up.
Bring essential documents such as your ID (for official baby business), insurance information birth plan (if you have one), hospital registration forms (to join the party officially), and any medical or prenatal records your doctor recommends.
Yes, most hospitals allow electronic devices like phones (for those labour selfies), tablets (for binge-watching your favourite shows if you have time), and cameras (to capture those precious moments). They're your backstage pass to labour and beyond!
Pack items like maternity pads (for that VIP treatment), nursing bras (because comfort is key), nipple cream (to soothe those sensitive spots), comfy underwear (because you deserve to feel cozy), and any medications or supplements recommended by your healthcare provider for postpartum recovery.
Every hospital provides different items! Check yours. Yes, it's a good idea to pack nappies, wipes, and any other changing essentials for your newborn's comfort and hygiene during your hospital stay.
It's recommended to have your hospital bag packed and ready to go by around 36 weeks of pregnancy (because anticipation is half the fun) to ensure you're prepared for labour and any unexpected early arrivals. Please don’t leave it any longer, its stresses you and us out!
